Plan With Confidence

Family, Work & Stay Requirements

Can You Bring Your Family?

MM2H participants may include eligible dependants.

Depending on the applicable conditions, dependants can include a spouse, children, certain adult unmarried children, parents and parents-in-law. Disabled children who meet the programme's medical requirements may also qualify without an age limit.

This makes MM2H particularly relevant for families considering Malaysia for long-term living, education or retirement.

Can You Work or Run a Business Under MM2H?

The rules differ by category.

Under the current federal MM2H framework, the Platinum category permits business, investment and career activities under its programme conditions.

Gold, Silver and SEZ/SFZ participants generally require the appropriate separate immigration permission if they intend to work or conduct business in Malaysia.

Annual Stay Requirement

The MM2H programme includes an annual 90-day stay requirement, with specific fulfilment rules depending on the participant's age and dependant arrangements.

Your licensed MM2H operator can confirm how the latest rules apply to your individual application.
